In a hectic and always moving world I try to capture snapshots of modern life and the landscapes that surround us. Through painting I seek to capture the emotion of the moment and explore light and color in unexpected ways.
The aim is not to focus on the precise details, but I seek to reproduce the fleeting impressions, the plays of light and the sensations that we experience at a fast pace. The fast and gestural brushwork takes shape in a vibrant dance of colors in the pictorial space. The exploitation of color and light is a defining characteristic of my works. By applying intense color patches and juxtaposing contrasting tones, I try to create a dynamic visual energy that captures the viewer. I use light to highlight details and add depth to my compositions, inviting the viewer to enter a world of sensations and reflections.
In a world where perfect, filtered images dominate social media platforms, I seek to bring to the fore the authenticity and ephemerality of our moments. Through a contemporary approach of my own, I want to suggest a connection between past and present, between nostalgia for fleeting moments and the rapidity of modern life. Observing and interpreting everyday life in a subjective manner defines me as an artist. By capturing the ephemeral moment, I try to offer a subjective perspective on reality and bring to the fore the beauty and complexity of our contemporary world, offering the viewer an aesthetic experience that delights and challenges.
